Welcome! I’m Meghan. I’ve been a bookworm since I was five and I own more than 2,000 books, many of which still live in my parents’ house. I’ve been writing about books in this little corner of the internet, plus a few others every now and again, since 2007. I have an MA in Medieval Studies, so you should know right off the bat that I adore history and everything to do with it, and will happily read history books more or less constantly. I specialize in and love late medieval England and France best, but all history appeals to me. In fiction, unsurprisingly, my favorite genre is historical fiction, particularly medieval historical fiction, but you’ll find more than that here, because I read more or less everything.
I’m an American living in the UK thanks to my British husband. After years of living apart, we’ve been enjoying the novelty of living together since our wedding in October 2009. I love travelling and am conquering Europe one city at a time.
In my professional life, I am an SEO Manager at a leading multilingual online marketing agency, but have worn the hat of copywriter in the past and have even passed my Google AdWords and Analytics exams. I’d still love to attain my PhD in medieval history and pretend that I actually know something about history. In the meantime, I’m brushing up on my French and reading as many books as I can find.
